What you should know about Target Marketing if you want a successful Homebased Business…

That fact you are at this site means you are someone who want to Work From Home. You may be already Working From Home, or you want to get started for the first time. In any case you are looking for information that will help you become successful.
When I started my Home Business I thought everyone was my Target Market. It wasn’t until someone asked me what my target market was that I stopped to think who am I trying to reach, and can best help. I’m a well aged Baby Boomer, so I have experience that can help many..
You might find yourself at the same place I was when I got started, or because you are asking the question about Target Marketing, you are farther along than I was when I started.
Target Marketing involves breaking a market into segments, and then concentrating your marketing efforts on one or a few key segments. .
We all have experiences, and skills that can help us relate to other people. Your Target Market could be people like yourself. But you want people most likely to want your product or service.
Research shows that women are always the best Target Market because they control the spending. Women may not make the most, but they control household spending.
There’s a great book called “Don’t Think Pink” – In it we learn:
Women now earn one trillion dollars a year and their incomes over the past three decades have increased a dramatic 63 percent after inflation, while men’s median income has barely budged (+0.6% after inflation). These are 2000 figures from New Strategist research
-Women now bring in half or more of the household income in the majority of U.S. households. (according to Census Bureau numbers)
-It is estimated that by 2010 two-thirds of all private wealth in the US will rest in the hands of women.
So if you want to go were the money is, Women should be one target market you don’t want to overlook.
Here are some things you can do:
1) Review women’s websites like “WebTV4Women” to learn the kind of information of interest to women.
2) Write about what women want or need to know…as long as it has value.
3) If you are a women, join some of the online women sites and forums.
4) Guys, read what women read, and get your wife or girlfriend’s views for an eBook, or article that you can give away, so you can start building your mailing list. (note: your goal is to provide information of value, so people will join your opt-in list.. “The Money is in the List”)
5) If you need help reach out to a Coach or Mentor…
